Valerie Boyer, the French member of Parliament who had much to do with passing the charter against skinniness in France (see below post) is now hungry for more body image laws (get the irony?).

Boyer has proposed a law to include a disclaimer on all enhanced advertisements, photographs, and political art.

And it looks like this law may pass, as she is backed by 50 other members of Parliament.

By proposing this law, Boyer is aiming to reduce the amount of people diagnosed with eating disorders around the world. Failing to add the disclaimer will result in a fine of 37,500 euros, which $54,950 American dollars.

Is the future of photo editing for negative purposes at risk? Let’s hope so.
